deserves a quiet time

If you squint your eyes the thousand fragments of the dalmation moon become firefly men dancing as if animated in a 1920s movie said the precious seventeen year old who lives on beacon hill. I couldn't see it but noded my head in agreement anyway. Personally I thought the view looked nothing so much as a really hard jigsaw puzzle. Sure you could get the edge pieces or the three pieces making up the fool moon, but how about the fifty four gray pieces making up the sail boat floating on the four hundred and five gray pieces of dublin lake? Or the six hundred and twenty three gray pieces of fog hiding mount monmendack and the stars?

Eventually we worked up enough courage to go skinny dipping with the grant girls. Cold and rocks and sea weed and keepaway and gropping and just going for the ball ma'am but hey we could take it. Every once in a while I would stop playing and do the backfloat and look up into the fog for a while and then someone would splash water at me and I would have to chase after her and you know how that goes. They were all artists painters and he was going to take ancient greek next year and no one knew the words to nightswimming because it never got much airplay and mtv only plays it for beavis and butthead to make fun of. But who cares when you are wet and shes guarding you very close and you hold onto the ball for longer than necessary?

When we got out of the water we were cold and towels weren't enough. The fog was hiding the fool dalmation moon but we had six of our own to reflect upon the lake and that was more than sufficient.
