So, for reasons I can't explain, I decided to rewrite my ancient Perl diary cgi script in Swift. It's one of those "because it seemed fun at the time" sort of things. Good enough reason, I suppose, I'm unlikely to lose a finger, or splash something on passers-by.
Still and all, it is fun to delve back into CSS and see what's changed, which is both little and a lot. The things I remember are still essentially the same, but there are new things which make it easier to get the thing I want done.
I admire this model, which combines "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" and "Things could be better" well.
I added a MarkdownParser for the body lines, so let's see if it works:
- Hi
- There
- Bob!
This is a thing?
Hello again
Some Code
print("Hello, world")
I have a little fish I keep him in a dish
"I have little time, and even less patience. Give to me your word that it will be done before two sunsets have passed and I will leave it to you."
"You have my word, ma'am, it will be done."
"Good. Lara give him what funds he needs. Please retain receipts, the tax man is unforgiving."
"Yes, ma'am"
